JOINT STOCK COMPANY “ASVIO BANK” is one of the first commercial institutions in Ukraine.

On the 30th of October, 1991, OOO Chernihivbank was registered by the National Bank of Ukraine. Upon the decision of the constituent shareholders meeting of the 20th of September 1993, the institution was renamed into a stock company - the joint-stock bank “Chernihivbank”.

Upon the decision of the institution bank-court on the 28th of April 1999, Chernihivbank was renamed to Joint Stock Company "Privatinvest" which became the right-holder and successor in all obligations of association.

Upon the decision of the bank-court on the 8th of April 2002, this joint stock banking structure was renamed into OOO Privatinvest Bank which became the right-holder and successor of JSC Privatinvest.

The resolution of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of the 21st of December 2009 changed the type of association and name from OOO Privatinvest to the Public JSC “Joint Stock Bank Privatinvest” which became the right-holder and the successor in all obligations.

During 2016-2017, the bank was audited by the SFS (State Financial Service of Ukraine) in Chernihiv region, the Fund Deposit Guarantee organization and the National Bank of Ukraine. The final result of inspections was positive. Any deficiencies including those that are not peculiar to the Ukraininan banking sector, or those that would threaten the existence of the institution, were not revealed.

Upon the bank-court decision on the 23rd of April 2018, Public JSC “ASVIO BANK” changed its legal form to Private JSC. The organization was also renamed to JOINT STOCK COMPANY “ASVIO BANK”. The renewed ASVIO BANK became the right-holder and successor in all obligations of previously-formed public institution.
